Description: Dear Investors I am an entrepreneur that needs guidance. I have recently started a company in the Columbus area. I have funded the start-up with all of my own credit and need some guidance especially when it comes to obtaining financing. I have been very nervous when it comes to funding because it did not want to lose control of the company but I recently read an article in Columbus CEO magazine pointing out it’s better to own part of a watermelon than all of a grape. This made me see my way of thinking was flawed. I hope you can look at my company and offer some suggestions. It took three years of research and planning before I opened for business, unfortunately I did not anticipate the need for financial longevity when creating my business road map. My company is called Truxi Instant Delivery. You may have seen the trucks out and about if you have visited the Columbus Ohio area. They are bright yellow, have vivid graphics and top lights to look like taxicabs, a truck that operates like a taxi. It is a fresh new idea that after a lot of research, is not being done anywhere. I have even obtained a trademark for the name Truxi. I have purchased a small fleet of trucks, hired a call center, and have a website (URL removed) We have done almost no advertising but have established several clients since opening our doors. We are seeing the most success with small furniture galleries that previously had to outsource deliveries, sometimes taking weeks to move their merchandise out the door. Now they call us and we usually arrive in less than an hour. They are thrilled; we are doing multiple deliveries each week, and have helped them to increase sales by allowing them to offer “Instant Delivery” Last month I received a call from the Home Goods corporate office in Framington, MA. The gentleman on the line asked if Truxi could be their “Go To” company for deliveries. He explained that one of my staff had approached the manager of one of their Columbus locations and had explained our concept. He asked if we would be able to service all 508 stores in the US. I explained that we were just getting started and using Columbus as a test market but look forward to servicing all three of the central Ohio stores for now and hope to grow into the other markets soon. HELP! I recently had my staff start marketing what we are calling the “Mini Move”, helping apartment dwellers move. We can haul a load or two today, a few tomorrow and another on the weekend. It has allowed people to move at their own pace and spending only $50 per load and offering a $5.00 per load commission to the referring apartment manager. It’s cheaper than paying for a big truck mover, doesn’t require a three week reservation and is easier because you don’t have to have everything ready for one frantic moving day. I know that once we are established we will thrive. It is just being able to sustain long enough for that to happen. Please take a look at our web site; it will give you a good understanding of the business and what my goals are. Any suggestions would be welcome. Thank you, Mark Jans Our growth potential is unlimited! Our concept fresh! We will become a household name! Visit our web site (URL removed)
