Description:
Firehouse Rentals LLC owns the Junior Fire Company, a Victorian firehouse built in 1852 that will be remodeled to provide a special event/wedding venue in downtown Hagerstown, Maryland; filling a void that exists in downtown event space and more importantly, providing a high end, niche Victorian experience to clients that is unparalleled within the city and beyond. An additional service and optimal marketing tool is the existence of a proposed Honeymoon Suite within the fourth floor of the engine house and its belfry that will afford clients a unique setting and unobstructed view of the Cumberland Valley and South Mountain. Space will be created to accommodate large corporate conferences to small business meetings with state of the art audio visual equipment. Other services such as catering, event planning, florists, photographers, room service, music, etc., will be provided by preferred partners or other vendors at the request of clients that serves to expand JFC’s referral base. The estimated cost of the redevelopment is $677,880 of which the City of Hagerstown has awarded a grant in the amount of $225,960 requiring $451,920 in commercial financing.
