Here at Reina Shoes our number one priority is unleashing the customer’s inner creative vision all while providing quality shoes for a good price. In turn we make that vision a reality with the perks of comfort, empowerment, and giving back. Mission Statement: Reina Shoes will be the custom made, built for comfort shoe. Unleashing every women’s inner ambition to be creative, empowering, and conquer. We will target a customer base of mainly the female population, young adults to middle-aged women, offering top quality customized shoes, for the lowest prices in South Orange County. Company Goals and Objectives: To have a healthy, successful company that is a leader in customer service, has a loyal customer following, and raises awareness. With an objective 20% profit before tax and a 30% per year revenue growth, Reina Shoes would like its main focus to be giving back to the community. When shoes are purchased a portion of the proceeds will be donated to various non-profit and research and development organizations throughout Orange County. Our goal is expand into a franchised corporation, in hopes to reach out to people and organization throughout the country, especially during our economic crisis. Business Philosophy: Helping women realize inner beauty and finding your inner self fall hand in hand. Being able to provide women with a product that they are intrigued by, that feels good, and that will last and in turn involves giving back to others, in hopes to provide a sense of accomplishment and empowerment. I would like to start off by marketing my product to young adult females as well as middle aged women. Further down the line I plan on expanding my idea and concept to suit that of the male population as well. The shoe retail business is a very competitive field. According to the Annual Retail Trade Survey conducted by the Bureau of Census, shoe retail trade registered sales of 21,627 billion in 2003 in the United States from about 28,457 shoe stores across the country. However those numbers have dropped since due to the economy thus far, but the shoe retail industry still is of high demand and always expanding. Both the men and women’s market segments are still growing. Price-wise men’s shoes are more expensive than that of women’s. Competition in this industry is strong. There are a number of established businesses in the shoe industry with established market positions, brands and reputations. A mall often houses several shoe stores, mostly the major brands. Major businesses in this industry have numerous retail outlets throughout the US, while smaller businesses are generally independently owned and operated in one or two locations. To be able to compete in the industry, Reina shoes must offer the following: • Excellent Service • Courteous and Well-trained staff • Diversity in product selection • Competitive pricing • Functional Store design A Reina shoe does have a unique advantage to that of all the other businesses, which is its diversity in product selection and overall concept. This definitely sets us apart and gives us a boost to succeed and possible further expand with this business. The environment Reina shoes intends to give off is a sense of exploring one’s self, feeling free to unleash you ambitions or innermost desires. Most shoe stores are the same you pick a shoe that is appealing to you and may fit, but are you choosing that particular shoe because there is no other option and even if the shoe doesn’t exactly feel comfortable you purchase it anyways. Reina shoes would play to its strengths by eliminating all these hard decisions most women have to endure. By providing customized shoes to suit everyone individually they won’t lack comfort, and allowing you to choose what you like assures pure satisfaction. With customers leaving with what they want it will keep them coming back, this is where our major competitive strengths will be, in customer loyalty. I’ve been in the customer service industry for about ten years now and have obtained a lot of knowledge. Knowing what products are at highest demands as far as the market goes, providing excellent customer service, and have played a key role in contributing to supporting non-profit organizations and giving back to the community. Children and women make up a substantial amount of the population and it is prudent that we provide as many diverse services as possible to cater to everyone’s individual needs. Also I will have key partners who are or have been in the retail business for many years with a solid background in business management. Reina Shoes will be a corporation based business overseen by myself and a few key staff members, but for the most part I plan to manage the business as sole investor. I chose this form of legal ownership based on the advantages it provides and it’s structured to benefit on my behalf. It’s the most common form of business organization, and one which is chartered by a state and given many legal rights as an entity separate from its owners. Because this form of business is characterized by the limited liability of its owners, it also gives the company separate legal standing from its owners and protects those owners from being personally liable. As a new business owner I want to ensure the safety of my personal assets as well as my business if it does happen to go under. I also want to be able to form a partnership and establish a franchise with my business sometime in the near future.
