Description:
LOVE NAIL TREE is a storytelling company, based in downtown Los Angeles, that uses several mediums, primarily fashion, to affect positive change in people’s lives and culture. In addition to short films, theatrical productions, nontraditional print campaigns, musical collaborations, and local outreach, the company makes graphic t-shirts, sweatshirts, tops, dresses, totes, and jewelry, which are sold by hundreds of stores in the USA and abroad. The company is exceptionally earnest in its desire to do good, both at large and at home. Beyond selling apparel and creating art, we provide aid for the local homeless community and partner with regional non-profits. Everything we produce is proudly made in L.A.
In 2010, LOVE NAIL TREE showed its first wholesale apparel collection at the largest domestic fashion tradeshow and secured $25,000 in orders. In 2011, we moved from a small garage into a warehouse in Skid Row, increased production, and made $450,000 in gross revenue. In 2012, we began selling internationally and made $1,200,000. Last year, we assumed our own international distribution and sold $1,100,000 total, including $310,000 in Europe. In 2014, we’re projecting to exceed $2,300,000 through expanding proven sales channels and moving from biannual to quarterly production. Business is booming, and, like our mission says, we’re changing the world with the stories we tell.
As for what we make, essentially, our product is story. In everything we do, LOVE NAIL TREE is dedicated to addressing topics that inspire, are neglected or ignored, or that are simply worth sharing, topics ranging from addiction to heartache, real beauty to dreams. Each clothing item we make has an original story printed inside the garment or on the hangtag; many customers purchase our products for their quality and style, others for their depth and meaning. Our market extends beyond that of a typical clothing company.
