Clayton, CA is the southern tip of the Great Smokey Mtns. It has 16,000 full-time residents and several more people with vacation homes there. There is a generous amount of tourist traffic all year. Our idea is to open a seafood restaurant. There currently is not one in the area and after talking with residents they are very excited about the possibility of one opening. We have found an extremely nice restaurant for lease with the option to buy. In addition to the restaurant there are two small "studio" type buildings that could be used for gift shops. There is also a banquet hall that seats around 50. The restaurant seats 90-100 inside and about 120 with outdoor dining being used. We need appromimately $10-$20,000 to open. I have worked in a seafood restaurant since I was 13. I have managed and helped others open restaurants in the past. My brother has a very successful restaurant in a small town in NC, which I have helped him with. This would be a "hands-on" business with my wife and I being there and working during operating hours.
