Description: SupraNutra was established in December 2006 to develop and market innovative Reishi products for Nutraceuticals and most recently Pharmaceuticals for the prevention and curative usage of types of Cancers that fall under the Orphan Drug Act. And on Jan. 4, 1983, President Reagan signed the Orphan Drug Act, an amendment to the Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act. The act lets drug companies take tax deductions for 73 percent of the costs of conducting clinical trials on orphan drugs, as opposed to 50 percent for other drugs. (These deductions are preserved in the House and Senate versions of the new tax bill). It also enables a company to obtain a license to be the exclusive marketer for seven years of drugs that don't qualify for patents. The Orphan Drug Act and companies that qualify focus on drugs for diseases that affect a population under 200,000 people. The Company’s vision is to make Nutraceutical and Pharmaceutical products that focus on prevention and curative products under the Orphan Drug Act.
