Description: Flora Bloom Gardens is a concept garden store with landscape design solutions, located in NW Denver, dedicated to sustainable, affordable gardening practices and materials. The store will strive to assist its customers in personalized ways to create outdoor spaces that fit each person’s individual aesthetic, experience and ability, budget and very importantly, time available to dedicate to gardening. Whether a person is a novice seeking advice as to where to start with a blank slate, or an experienced soil jockey looking for fresh ideas, Flora Bloom will fill their needs. The solutions Flora Bloom will provide support anything from the installation of a small container garden to a complete redesign of an entire yard. The sum of all this will be the development of strong, personal, and lasting relationships with customers, vendors, other local businesses, and the community. Flora Bloom Gardens will welcome all comers, but will serve primarily the neighborhoods of Highlands, Berkeley, Sunnyside, Sloan’s Lake, Jefferson Park, Potter Highlands, LoHi, and Regis. It will also provide gardening support for condominium/townhome/attached home roof-top and deck gardening for the multi-unit living spaces in Lower Downtown, Central Platte Valley District, and those multi-dwelling spaces existing in the aforementioned primary neighborhoods. There is not an accessible garden shop in Northwest Denver within a five-or ten-minute drive of the proposed location within this sector of the city, according to data from Reference USA. The store will carry a large selection of xeric and water-wise perennials, groundcovers, and shrubs, focusing on those species of plant that thrive in the microclimate in which we live. The store will also carry many herbs and annuals to fill the needs of customers wanting a fully diverse design for their outdoor gardening spaces. Another primary focus of Flora Bloom Gardens will be carrying unique lines of hard goods and gardening accessories, some of which are not carried anywhere else in Colorado. This will include lines of pottery and planters, artisan-crafted furniture, distinctive tools, lighting, and garden decorations. Flora Bloom Gardens will engage the community through hosting workshops on sustainable gardening practices such as composting, xeriscape planting, and general garden maintenance. Also, Flora Bloom will look to sponsor community events, supporting other local businesses and non-profit organizations, such as wine tastings, fundraising drives, garden tours, and family events.
