Description: Another Choice, Inc. transitional housing is a 501(c)(3) non-fit faith-based iniative organization that provides housing and life skill training for women. If offers assistance to women frequently homeless, as they move from dependent, often abusive relationships into self-sufficiency lifestyles. The facilty provides clients within an eight step program that teaches themnecessary life skills. The steps inckude personal development, vocational training, substance abuse counseling, leisure activity and independent living skills. We chose to serve women because they are far more vulnerable then homeless men. They need more protection because of the risk of sexual abuse. Additionally, we assist clients in child reunification. This is particularly important as 89% of clients have children but, no custody. We believe an informed woman is an empowered woman!
