After being struck by (2) CAT 5 hurricanes in September 2017, and not having proper nutrition for many of the local residents, the Pescatarian and Vegetarian/Vegan community suffered even greater as their resources of consumption was extremely limited due to the lack of harvested crops and/or insufficient produce shipments containers arriving to the islands from outside sources... This created a need for someone to step up and provide affordable, convenient and healthy options for these local consumers whom weren't being properly nourished; and that was how R3D'sPOT was started!!!
I decided to take the 10yrs of experience i'd gained in the catering & branding industry and combine it with my passion for creating beautiful, healthy yet tasty meals then choose a few distribution sites and communication avenues (since our wireless system providers were not reliable at the time) where everyone could find, received and enjoy something you eat daily. During the time of execution, I had a total of 4 helpers plus myself, working on gathering supplies, food, donations, distribution site approval, etc.; all which was personally funded.
As the hurricane recovery continues and we rebuild our lives once again from the tragedy experienced, I'd like to continue providing the entire community, not just the pesce/vegan consumers, with the same delicious healthy options so that they too can benefit from the overall life changes that can be acquired through deathly eating.
