Real Estate Investing can be an extremely lucrative business right now in our economy if the person is wise in their investments/ideas. The idea at hand is to purchase foreclosed houses from auction, and use the houses as tourist, weekly rental properties. After much research, the outcome shows that there is a fast increasing market for weekly rentals. In otherwords, families are looking to rent a home (2-4 bedroom, 2 bath) in order to save expenses on eating out along with other high hotel costs. Weekly rental rates can be as much as $2100.00 during peak times and as low as $800.00 for low season times. Monthly rentals can be arranged at a discounted price as well as weekend rentals when available. At this time, our business is at the ground floor. We have many ideas of real estate investing, but we feel that this could potentially be the most promising idea. In order to make this happen, we have to be able to purchase, with cash, at an auction or we could simply purchase a home that is for sell. The idea is to get a good deal on the home so that the income pays the house off quickly. The property purchased would be investigated thoroughly as to be sure it is a good investment. Worse case scenerio: if the weekly rental doesn't show to work out within 2-3 months of trying, we sell the property for market value, rent it out on a monthly basis, or turn it in to Section 8 housing. As I mentioned, we do have other ideas. I do have a realtor in place that I have developed a working relationship with in case one is needed. I look forward to developing a successful working relationship with an investor, and am open to suggestions/ideas the investor might have.
