Riptide Jet Ski Rentals is a Jet Ski rental business located in the heart of Folly Beach, SC. We currently have a fleet of six brand new Kawasaki Jet Skis that are rented directly on the beach to beachgoers. Our location is our biggest advantage. As we have already secured one of the three permits to operate a Jet Ski rental operation directly in heart of the beach commercial district. We could not have a location with more foot traffic. Since our purchase of the business on July 8, 2008, we have increased sales by over 30% due to streamlined business operations and a concentration on customer service as well as safety. Another key to our early success has been our support from city council. This was achieved through various efforts to enrich the atmosphere of the beach, as well as their acknowledgement of our concern for beach safety.
We are not done yet, however. Although we already have superior Jet Skis and lower prices than our competition, we would like to expand further at our Folly Beach location to include other water sports activities such as banana boat rides, catamaran rentals, and guided tours. Once our folly beach location is running and as profitable as possible, we would like to replicate it at other beaches throughout the U.S, Caribbean, and South America.
Our long-term goal is to open store locations in at least ten tourist destinations. We would also consider franchising opportunities to further expand.
