Description: My name is Rene' M. Ricks-Stamps. I'm a 47 year old ex-federal employee. Widow and mother of four grown children with nine grandchildren. I'm asking for $150,000.00 for a 10% lifetime return in my Start-Up Business. My idea is to have a Product Line. Named Bulah's or SB. The product line generates from a homemade recipe of Barb-B-Q Sauce. I call it Bulah's Barb-B-Q Sauce which is based on the Famous Historian Shirley B. Bulah-Stamps. Shirley is famous for the case in Brown vs. Board of Education in 1954. Shirley was eight years old when the story takes place. Shirley was the child in Wilmington Delaware. This case is historically remembered as the Bulah vs. Gebhart case; this was one of the many cases that was overturned by the Supreme Court in 1954. The preceding attorney was Lewis Redding and Thurgood Marshall; which have preceded us in death; Shirley has also preceded us in death. Passing away in 2003. One of the other attorney's is currently still living Professor Jack Greenburg at the Columbia University Law School. I am the one and only daughter of Shirley Bulah-Stamps. My idea is to have numerous Bulah Products from Educational Books,Clothing/Shoes;Handbags and Wallets,Bath and Body Products;Colognes and Perfumes. My dream is to begin this journey with a bottled Barb-B-Q Sauce patented and licensed for National and International sells. I would like the logo to read "Bulah's Barb-B-Q Sauce "Where The East Meats The West In Rich Barb-B-Q Flavors". After successfully licensing Bulah's Barb-B-Q-Sauce. I look forward to opening up a Barb-B-Q Restaurant; Where I would like to open at least one in each state within a five year span. Where public entertainment will have live Jazz Musician and Comedians entertaining us by the fireplace. We can talk about historical sites and events that took place in 1954 and, some which are available for our educational learning and enjoyment today. Bulah's Barb-B-Q sauce is for our pleasure and to remind us of where we come from and where we should be. Bulah's Barb-B-Q Sauce will also bring families together. Where they will talk about historical events within their own families. There is a special historical family story in each one of us. Good wholesome stories that need to be talked about. What better way to do that than with a good home cooked meal and a nice warm rich Bar-B-Q Sauce served at your own dinner table. I'm looking for this project to overwhelm the Nation. I would like to see Bulah's products sold National and International. Providing jobs,charities, and other funding for the Orphaned, the Widow/Widower and college assistance for those families that have lost loved ones. Needless, to say my dream goes even further than that. I am proud to be a native of Colorado where there is an abundance of diversity. Cultural education is minimal. With that said, I would ask that this not be taken out of context; I look forward to having Asians, Jews,Whites,Indians and other cultures come into a University where we can study and learn from each other. (Bulah's University). I may not be considered educated with only a high school diploma and a few technical licenses and certificates but, I have a plan and I have a dream. I also have a great foundation that was laid before me. The fruit of this foundation will start and sustain a very successful business. As a people we want to educate and talk to our children at the dinner table. Often we don't have a conversation piece to start with. Bulah's Barb-B-Q Sauce will help us achieve all these things and more. This can not be done alone. I must have the help,support and donations from the people.
