I am looking for funding to finance the purchase a pool route in the Sacramento, California area. I would ideally be servicing 80 pools to start, increasing the amount by 20% per year. Servicing includes cleaning (netting) the pools, measuring the water and adding chemicals (chlorine, acid, algaecide, etc.) as needed, checking the pool equipment weekly, along with small repairs. Also four times per year I will be cleaning the filter, vaccuuming the pool if needed, and other necessary maintenance. I can do commercial pools (apartments, etc.), but mostly residential. I will charge around $80 per month, per pool, plus the cost of chemicals, plus repairs. The cost of a pool business is around $1000 per pool, or annual net income. Overhead is very low, as I work out of my truck, using a small home office which I have already set up. Gasoline is probably the highest overhead expense, however, managing the route efficiently can keep the cost down to around $100 per week, or less. I am looking for financing for the business in the amount of $100,000 to cover the cost of buying 80 pools, plus a small amount for inventory and supplies.
