Description: Dear Angel, I have exciting news to share! I am switching gears and becoming an entrepreneur, following my heart and trusting God…and I feel great. Here’s what’s happening, after moving to Austin, my world really got turned upside down. My career in art education was going nowhere, my New York State lifetime certification is not fully recognized here and Texas doesn’t tenure teachers. All I know is that I love working with people, I love art and I love animals. And then I went to hear Gene Baur speak at Bookpeople. Gene founded a Farm Sanctuary, and passes animal rights legislation. He started by selling vege (tofu/soy based) “hot” dogs at Grateful Dead concerts in the 1980’s. This was genius to me, because he was selling a product and making a profit, but also spreading an important message. I want to make a difference too. Austin needs a vegan dog vendor like me passionate about my product, energetic and positive. I am thrilled about choosing a location and purchasing a used but quality food cart. Being outdoors, talking to customers, bringing little Prince (my pug) with me to work would be amazing. Vege dogs, specifically Tofupups brand are delicious. They have 45 calories each, and dressed up like a hot dog, you can’t taste a difference. But your body will feel better. They’re packed with soy protein and vitamins-and no meat, cholesterol free. Attached is my general business plan, please give me feedback and advice-my ears are open. I am asking you, Angel to help me in this time of transition. Any contribution towards my goal will be helpful. Your donation will assist me in starting up this idea, and getting the wheels started. Don’t you want to be a part of Austin’s First Vege Dog Stand?
