Description: Business Summary: Tonino’s Italian Cafe and Coffeehouse is a full-service restaurant/coffee house that will be located in Houston. The restaurant will features a full menu of moderately priced \"comfort\" food influenced by American Italian cooking traditions, but based upon time honored recipes from around the world. The coffeehouse section of Tonino’s Italian Cafe features a coffeehouse with a dessert and pastry bar. Our initial statement to Our Self’s and Financial Lenders is a candid disclosure of Tonino’s Italian Cafe and Coffeehouse business proposal - our intent is to set realistic business expectations, and eliminate any questions about the profitability of this business venture. Entrepreneurs have a tendency to paint the business plan with a very optimistic brush, highlighting strengths and camouflaging the risks. We, as business owners, have a vested stake and financial commitment in the success of this restaurant. Our intent is to have a definitive business, financial, and marketing plan that not only serves our need for capital financing, but is utilized as our daily business road map. We have taken all precautions to validate our business and financial models, focusing on realistic projections. We have accomplished this as follows: (URL removed) financial model is rooted in industry facts, not optimism. We have based costs on our vast study of the industry and practical experience with similar ventures, validation against National Restaurant industry cost averages, and analysis against local Nevada market averages. We have taken a collective look at all figures to make solid business estimates. (URL removed) business concept was derived from detailed Market Analyzes. Instead of building a business around a preconceived concept, we analyzed the market findings and built a concept around our consumers. In other words, our business is built to service an unmet consumer \'want\'. 3.A buffered financial plan that ensures adequate capitalization. A contingency buffer is included in the start-up cost to ensure the business in not under financed, as well as giving the business adequate funding to sustain it in the first six months of start-up. Our industry study confirms a longer ramp-up stage for restaurants over other retail/service businesses. A common mistake for new entrepreneurs, but fully addressed in this business plan. 4.A solid Risk Mitigation Plan. We have evaluated traditional and non-traditional risks associated with Restaurant failure and accounted for them directly in the business plan. Instead of dismissing the risks, we have identified valid mitigation strategies for each. (URL removed)p Management Experience. Our management team will have over 20 years combined experience. The total capital requirement to launch Tonino’s Italian Cafe and Coffeehouse is $580,000. This Plan is being submitted in order to secure a Business loan or Grant for the amount of $530,000. The founds will be used towards Equipment purchase, Design, Construction, and Operational Start-Up expenses. Owners, Mrs. Mary Gullo is investing $50,000 in personal capital. As owner, my commitment is to take personal accountability for all financial debt. We have taken the necessary precautions to ensure the business is fully capitalized, and have addressed all financial shortfalls to ensure a successful business start-up. Under a realistic scenario, the company should have over $84,000 in cash balance by the third year. Thank you for the opportunity to tell you all about our project, we have a complete business and financial plan, and market analysis if necessary. Best Regards, Antonio and Marisol Gullo What unique things would separate you from other applicants applying for this money? I'm an extremely driven person, at the age of fifteen years old I was finished with High school, at the age 0f 21 I obtained my degree as an Attorney in Law, and practiced law in Costa Rica for the next 3 years, in the year 2000 I married, to an American citizen, and moved from my native country of Costa Rica to United States of America. Two years after in 2002 I started a cleaning company which was so successful that it did escalate into a construction company. The construction company was even more successful, and it did gross about a $1,000,000 a year for the last five years. My husbands' family were imigrants from Italy and have a great love for food. And my husband is extremely talented in the kitchen and has a great passion for food. He has over 15 years of experience in the restaurant business from the back of the house to the front house. Meaning, he has worked every position in a restaurant, starting as a dish washer and from there as a bus boy, server, cook, to a Head Chef. We speak two languages Spanish and English which is a great advantage in today's world and economy. We have been married for eight years, we have a great chemistry working together, we are extremely hard working people. I don't want to finish this question with out saying that all we are and have is because God loves us. Best Regards, Antonio and Marisol Gullo
