Description:
Mackeline & Company was established in 2014 by Mackeline S. Wilson. Our goal is to establish projects in the US and Africa. The Sugarcane Project in Robertsville, Careysburg Liberia is the first international project undertaken by our company. This project is a joint venture between Cape Marathon Inc., (A Liberian Service and Distribution Company) and Mackeline & Company. We will grow sugarcane, build a processing plant in which sugar, ethanol and electricity will be produced. The key to our success will be to build a business committed to honesty, Integrity, and Trust. Mackeline & Company and it’ partners will take on the social responsibility of training, educating and advancing our workforce to the maximum potential of each individual. We will dominate the sugar market in Liberia and neighboring countries by producing high quality products.
The cane project will began as a 12.5 acre sugarcane farm with the intention of purchasing 100 or more acres in five years. Local farmers will be encouraged to supply our plant with specific species of sugarcane. Our products will be sold to local and international markets. The ethanol generated by our plant will meet USDA standers for export to the US and other countries. We will also work hard to influence the use of Flex-fuel Vehicles in Liberia. To insure high quality standards we will adopt policies and ethical practices used by other US companies. The processing plant will be constructed with materials and equipment imported from the United States. We will hire US contractors to jump start the plant and train Liberian workers.
Liberia is a small country on the West coast of Africa. Its population is about 3,476,608. Careysburg has a population of about 29,712. The country is recovering from a very devastating 14 year civil war. Even after about 10 years of reconstruction and other improvements, most of the country is still without running water, electricity and more than 85% of the population is still without work. Our mission is to improve the economic condition in Careysburg by creating job opportunity for low and mid skills workers. Currently electricity is being produced by diesel powered generators. The Liberian government is working on rebuilding the hydro dam which provided electricity prior to the war. We hope to provide an alternative sources of electricity. By providing electricity to the people in Careysburg, we hope to encourage and attract other business relationships such as Flex-fuel Vehicles assembly plants, auto dealers, and Gas Stations.
We are seeking $250,000 and a strong partnership with an established US company .
