Description: For the past three years, I have been doing accounting and finance for various startups in software, online advertising, and solar home systems in rural India. I love startups. I can accurately take care of Quickbooks in my sleep (not literally, but definitely half-asleep). I can get you set up with payroll, invoicing, banking, health insurance, set up e-commerce if you sell online, stock options, budgeting, etc. My real value comes in those 17 (or 17,000) things you have not thought of. I am a pro problem solver and I get stuff done, often despite seemingly-impossible obstacles. I am not too proud to scrub the toilet, if that's what needs to be done, or pull an all-nighter sorting papers, making photocopies and creating due diligence packages for a last minute potential acquisition. But I can also stand in front of a Board of Directors and deliver the news. Good and bad. I've done it. And if I have not done it, all the more reason for me to jump in and learn.
