Description: Currently, Texas is the home to 5.2 million baby boomers. This generation have children out of the home, most are grandparents, most are retired and all of them are either be downsizing or passing away. There is a huge need for estate sale companies, which serve to liquidate the contents of the entire home. Not only is there a need for companies to serve that market, but thanks to sites like Pinterest and Craigslist, there is a huge customer base of people looking to purchase second hand items. My company, My Jennarocity Estate Sales, services both the client and the customer in a truly unique way. The interesting thing about the estate sale industry is that while it is a multi-billion dollar industry, there is currently no government oversight that regulates it. What this means is that while there are thousands of companies out there to choose from, many of them are inexperienced, unethical and answer to no one for the choices they make. As of October 30, we will also offer an online auction option for our clients who cannot have a traditional estate sale, and currently have a contract with a charity to liquidate their stock of over 25,000 items through this service. This happened as the result of a partnership with an auctioneer. Auctioneering is a heavily regulated industry, and after reading that manual, it became clear that the two industries are almost identical. We have structured our company based on the idea that in the near future, the government will begin regulating this industry, and based on my research, we will be ready and hope to be one of the few companies truly ready to provide this service with integrity and honesty.
