Description:
Patrimonio Motor Yachts is a family-owned and operated business. Each yacht we build is a source of pride and created by skilled craftsmen to exacting standards. Personal attention to even the smallest of details leaves nothing to chance. Our goal is to provide a superior yacht and customer service beyond your expectations.
The owner of the company is Gene Robert Sarda. He brings with him over two decades of mechanical skills and vast expertise in computer and electrical systems. His main responsibilities include, but are not limited to, all main propulsion and onboard electrical systems, quality control, and maintaining the daily function of the company.
The first year will start out with five full-time employees, including Gene Sarda. With over 35 years of professional paint and fiberglass experience, Arturo Pislaan is the Master Fiberglass Technician. He is in charge of creating molds and all free-form fiberglass construction, painting, and finish work.
Jose Gutierrez holds an Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering and has extensive knowledge of AutoCAD 3D. He is responsible for creating plans and drawings to be submitted to the naval architect for approval. However, his mechanical skills will allow him to assist in all areas of yacht construction.
Jesus Romero has seven years of experience with the largest mega-yacht builder in the Western United States. His familiarity with fiberglass preparation and finishing as well as a very comprehensive understanding of computer operations and software connectivity make him an asset to the company. With this level of skill he will be working directly with Mr. Pislaan and Mr. Sarda to complete all levels of yacht construction.
The final employee for the first year is Benjamin Velozo. Mr. Velozo graduated high school three years early and was able to join the marines at the age of 17. In the marines, Mr. Velozo demonstrated intelligence and discipline far above average, earning him Lance Corporal and then Corporal ranks, making him the youngest to receive these ranks in the history of Camp Pendleton. After serving in the marines, Mr. Velozo is attending college to receive a degree in Mechanical Science. He is extremely motivated and enthusiastic about working with a company that holds such high standards.
The business is located in a 30,000 sq. ft. building on the Foss Waterway in Tacoma, WA. It is 300’ from the port, permitting easy transfer of the yacht to water by crane. A 40 ton overhead bridge crane spans the entire 200’ length and 60’ width of the main building inside the 40’ high ceilings. There is ample room for multiple yachts to be built simultaneously. A second, smaller section of the building has four additional cranes ranging from six to 10 tons and is suited for fabrication and mold construction.
Construction of the initial spec-built yacht will take approximately 11 to 12 months. With a professional yacht broker and successful marketing, the vessel should take five to seven months to sell. By this time, the second yacht will be nearly 50% complete. After completion of the second yacht, and into the third year of production, up to four additional employees will be hired and construction on another two yachts will begin.
Patrimonio Motor Yachts (PMY) will have both United States Coast Guard and Lloyd’s Register approval for US and International sales. PMY employees will be licensed or certified for installation and warranty of all products to maintain strict quality control and integrity in-house.
PMY yachts are built with an industry standard solid fiberglass hull which is known for strength and durability and extremely low maintenance requirement. The propulsion system is cutting edge technology with Cummins motors paired to ZF Zeus pod drive system. With this system the yacht will have the world’s most advanced propulsion drive, giving the vessel up to 30% improved fuel economy, 15% faster cruise speed, and 15% faster top speed. All the electronics are top of the line systems, utilizing Can Buss Communications, allowing central wired or wireless command of every system aboard including lighting and entertainment in a secure, simple user friendly format.
After the third year and the sale of the first two spec-built yachts, PMY will be recognized as an industry leader in quality built yachts with benchmark customer service. At this point, the company will be ready for custom ordered yachts that will yield approximately 30% greater net than the spec-built yachts. If no yachts are custom ordered, production continues with at least two spec-built vessels per year.
Into the fifth year, a team of skilled engineers and technicians will design a new mold – larger and more efficient than the first – to improve production, utilize new techniques, and increase efficiency, earning PMY top recognition in the industry.
