IEA estimates World Demand for oil at ~ 2,500 Mtoe (Million Tonnes of Oil Equivalent) currently. By 2030 estimated consumption is ~ 5,000 Mtoe.
Calculations indicate that the EU zone is 5 million tonnes short of own EU Directive targets (5.75% by 2010 and 20% by 2020).
This project produces energy and assists in alleviating demands for both diesel and ‘green fuels’ as well as electricity demands.
