FatCat Scones is a specialty food manufacturer that produces artisan quality pastries, including scones, biscuits, cookies and muffin batter. All FatCat products feature only the finest all natural ingredients with no trans fat and no preservatives. Moist and tender like no other scone, FatCat Scones are frozen ready-to-bake fresh. Focused on foodservice, we currently sell to many diverse accounts including grocery chains (such as Whole Foods Markets, Kroger/Fred Meyer, Henry’s Markets, etc.), hotels and resorts (such as Disneyland and the Gaylord Hotels), café’s, restaurants, school districts, universities and more. We sell through mainline and specialty foodservice distributors or direct via frozen freight. We have also recently launched our scones on QVC- the broadcast and online shopping giant.
Based in Sacramento, California, we founded the company in 2003. This is our 7th year in business and we are starting to realize some great success. Business was up 25% last year, we are up an additional 50% thus for in 2010. We are seeking to recapitalize the company to finance a national launch. With the right investment partner, we can dramatically ramp up business and thus become very highly profitable.
To facilitate our growth and expansion, we are seeking to recapitalize our company. We are looking to raise $700,000. With this influx of capital, we will be focusing on Operations and Sales: Hiring new employees (in both production and sales), Operating/Growth Capital (Payroll, Sales & Marketing, etc), Equipment Financing (to improve efficiency and product quality) and Debt Consolidation (to retire some high interest debt).
