Description:
The Northwest Arkansas Event Center will be a live performance center located in Northwest Arkansas. We will offer high-quality and affordable live entertainment from concerts to stand-up comedy, family shows and non-sport events. Revenues projected in this plan are based conservatively on three regular shows per week and a minimum of special events, special artist showcases, or holiday season special presentations. In addition to revenues generated by regular showcases, the facility will be marketed to large businesses for special corporate events and will be available for private event scheduling.
The strength of the demographics and socioeconomics to generate revenues is measured by the size of the regional market area population 234,642, our median income for a family is $45,876, and our demographic age group is 15 to 54 with our median age at 32. Our corporate base could play a significant role in the overall success of the proposed facility with Wal-Mart as our largest employer we also have Tyson Foods, JB Hunt Transportation and 300 Fortune 500 companies having offices located in Northwest Arkansas.
An analysis of existing event facilities in NWA was conducted to understand the types of entertainment and assembly events currently being accommodated by the market’s venues and to identify potential needs that are not being met by existing facilities. There is no similar sized venue currently operating with a 100-mile radius of our proposed location.
The location will need to sit on 8-10 acres or less if there is adequate parking close by. Our proposed building will be 42,718 sq ft, with an average capacity of 1,801. Funds needed for the complete project are $3,500,000. To cover land, construction, seating, staging/rigging, amenities and contingency costs.
