Our core business is a patent-pending cell phone software solution that provides the consumer public with an automated method of detecting unwanted ingredients in food, bevarages and OTC products on a real-time basis, that may cause an allergic reaction, exacerbate a condition or symptom, interfere with a prescribed drug or exceeds the subscriber's established dietary allowances. Subscribers scan product barcodes using an autofocus, +2.0 megapixel lens camera phone. A database maintains product barcodes and corresponding ingredients and nutritional information which is mapped to the user's subscription profile generating alerts on his/her handset's LCD. Every "incompatible" result is joined by a "compatible" substitute product. In addtion, ScanAvert delivers product recall messages for any product scanned on the handset or reported in the users profile.
