Currently there is no efficient way for poker players to access real-time cash game information. Players must enter a casino to sign up for a game. In some cases they may call ahead of time to a few different local poker rooms to see what games are being spread and to have their name put on a list from the host . In most cases the player still has to wait to play their preferred game upon arriving. The player must then make the decision to either wait, seek out another poker room, or sit at an open seat playing a game or limit outside their comfort zone.
Empty tables and unfilled seats equate to lost opportunities for poker rooms and players alike. Although the technology exists to instantly match travelers with airline seats, this has yet to be developed for the brick and mortar poker rooms until now.
Although poker rooms have computerized displays to list tables and seats open for available games they do not have an effective way to communicate with local players miles away from their casino. In other words, there is no efficient way for players to get real-time game information.
(URL removed) has created a mobile GPS enabled application for smart phones and other devices, such as IPHONEs, IPADs, ANDROIDs and other tools that allows players to receive instant notification of, or view real-time live cash games being spread in all nearby poker rooms. With the ability to select a game that meets there predefined criteria they essentially “Lockupseat” by booking a reservation prior to arriving at the casino. Waiting time for players is thus eliminated and more tables are filled in a timely fashion.
