Description: The Dorian Turner Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit organization, offering mentoring programs aimed at steering youth towards constructive and productive interaction with the arts. We believe that by providing young people with creative outlets, structured mentoring programs, and career options in artistic career paths, we can positively impact the current trend of increasing levels of juvenile delinquency. The Dorian Turner Foundation, Inc. places Artist Mentors into educational institutions to work with at risk youth. Through our mentors we aim to accomplish our mission, which is to "make art an everyday ocurrence" while emphasizing the importance of higher education in the pursuit of a variety of artistic career paths to the students who participate in our mentoring programs.
