i have started a small business as a homeschooling project for my high functioning autistic/aspergers son who needs more oppertunity to develop social skills as he grows into adulthood. since he is high functioning the public school system and other agencies only offered him services that would lead to decompensation rather than enrichment. As a trained teacher I have been very capable of providing what my son needs in order to become a part of the community and to develope social skills we have been running a vending business by selling italian ice and handmade clothing and crafts at local fairs, festivals, and community events.
