Description:
AbbeyPost is a software company and vertically integrated apparel brand.
We're building the world's first software-enabled custom clothing brand made to fit women of all shapes and sizes. We use a shopper's self-submitted measurements (basic stuff like bust, waist, hip, height and bra size). Then we create a highly detailed extrapolated statistical measurement model based on 3D body scan data of thousands of other similar women, we make a custom clothing pattern just for her, and manufacture and sell the clothing items directly to the customer.
There are 70 million Plus Size women in the US alone, and they spend $18B on apparel each year. But these women struggle to find attractive, well made apparel that really fits. Shopping is a broken experience for them, and we're fixing it.
TECHNOLOGY
Using a variety of proprietary algorithms and manufacturing process innovations, we're solving the single biggest problem in online shopping: fit.
No one else is offering this type of solution in ecommerce. We're starting with Plus Size, but that's just the tip of the iceberg. We can address any customer who has a fit issue--which is nearly everyone. Petites, talls, (URL removed) philosophy is to love the body you're in.
The "big hairy audacious goal" is to someday enable something like "Nordstrom Made to Measure", where a customer could visit a kiosk in-store and order customized, personalized clothing from a variety of known designers, and have it made to their own measurements using our proprietary platform.
