The Boat From Marina del Rey is seeking a commitment of $2,500,000 of investment capital for the startup of the newest and only passenger ferry from Marina del Rey to Catalina Island. There is a large market of people that intend on going to Catalina, via Marina del Rey this summer and this new company will be able to step in and fill the need for this service. The Catalina Marina del Rey Flyer provided this service for the last eight years but was forced to close this winter due to major manufacturing defects in it's boat.
By simply transporting the same amount of passengers as the CMDRF did every year, this new company will be profitable in it's first year.
