Description: It has become clear to me that the world needs more support and access to health and health education. I have been a student of Holistic medicine and physical fitness all of my life, by first learning from my grandparents in Japan that are from a blood line of healers & athletes. Now that I am 29 I have accumulated much knowledge and experience in this field and feel ready to create a platform , a non-profit that will serve the greater community with holistic healing and a space to where people can come and take classes that can help transform themselves and their over all quality of life. In a world where health care is almost unaffordale to most, this idea of spreading the knowlege and access to preventative medicine will be not only of service to the individual client but also to the greater community for if more people were in good health and educated on healing themselves that would effect everyone they encounter and the experiences they share. People could be better employees at work or just better citizens in general if they felt revitalized, optimistic, and healthy! Perhaps the meditation class they took part in at the center helped them resolve a domestic issue that could have gotten out of hand or helped the company they work for have better performance that quarter because they were more productive & focused at work! Thus the mission is to start a non profit community healing center called : The Goddess Tea Temple with the first temple to be actualized in San Francisco. A temple in New York is to follow after initial stabilization of the first temple. The temple is a tao medicine temple of the buddhist order. I personally will be overseeing and managing the temple day to day with also a group of devoted monks & nuns participating in running and keeping up the temple. At the temple you will find : Medicinal ancient teas for preventative medicinal health + to help cure current disease or illness. Affordable body work on sliding scale basis: Massage, accupuncture, accupreasure, cupping, and reikki Affordable sliding scale classes on: cooking for health and vitality- healing foods Tao medicine - Herbology Yoga classes on a daily schedule dance classes of several diciplines to awaken the body buddhist writings & teachings Meditation classes Sustainability work shops Kirtans Self defence classes for women special events: Special guest speakers + art & healing events to bring the community together in healing and celebration! drug & alcahol free dances twice a month were people can dance without intoxitating themselves with substances. Every friday 10am-12pm & Sunday 3pm-6pm will be open temple where anyone can drop by and take part in a free donation based tea ceremony with medicinal teas and snacks. This will the opportunity to someone who is new to holistic healing to come check it out and sample the teas and have conversations on healing with the temple staff and our patrons! Further bonding our community tighter together in a positive manner. Merchandise: There is a merchant aspect of the non-profit in effort to make sure we will be able to keep our doors open regardless of donations that we receive. This will include selling: Bags of medicinal tea Yoga & spiritual clothes (sustainably designed and manufactured in house) Tea ceremony accessories incense, pillows, buddhist/ indian inspired statues & trinkets. lotions, oils & tinctures. Books on the topics of spirituality and healing , CDs & DVD's. Packages of intensive massage & healing sessions at various rates. We will also have a tea truck that will be serving tea & vegan snacks at sliding scale to the public at events and public spaces to make medicinal tea available to greater groups of people from all secs of society and creating more visibility for the temple & the healing arts in the public. The sales of these supportive items + donations received will go towards covering the cost of operation and the surplus to be saved back for safety and special projects to invest in to greater help our community one step at a time!
