Description: I am an Artisan Furniture Repairman. I repair high-end, collectable, and heirloom furniture...i.e. I am under contract with Stickley and I'm their primary repair person for the Market Showroom in High Point, NC, SC, and sometimes VA. I am good at what I do and more often than not, after repairing a customer's Stickley Furniture, I am asked to repair more furniture in their home. I have other contracts and a larger customer base of my own as well as being Stickley Contract. I also design and build my own line of Arts & Crafts style furniture as well as designing and creating desirable folkart. My credit score was nearing 800 -- I qualified for zero (0) percent interest when I purchased my current truck. Then, the bottom fell out and the furniture market was hit hard due to the (URL removed)niture is not a necessity and even the richest of the rich will back off spending during an economic decline, yet there are those that will continue to buy and add to their collection and it's those people who have kept me afloat during these tough economic times (as well as careless delivery persons). I also took a direct hit with emergency surgery, which was difficult; however, my company's reputation, quality of work, and timely repairs were not affected. I was personally, financially affected due to not having insurance at the time.
