Description: LEJIS Software is developing a collection of tools to assist law enforcement officers and agencies. All of our software is developed for law enforcement officers by law enforcement officers. Every attempt has been made to make these tools easy to understand and use by individuals. We have attempted to provide a computerized environment that does not require an in-depth knowledge of computers, extensive training, or time to become proficient in their use and application. Most existing Law Enforcement software to date has been targeted at the agency and inter-agency level. The results are software that has been hard to use by line officers and of little benefit to those officers in the performance of their day to day workload. LEJIS is attempting to reverse that model and develop software that will assist the individual officer in the performance of their duties and in turn be flexible to support the overall agency and inter-agency data sharing requirements found in products like Coplink, etc. Do to an extremely small team of designers and developers needing to maintain existing jobs to survive, we have been unable to complete the first of our modules (FIDO) to market. Our entire investment to date has been sweat-equity (in excess of 5,000 hours of effort), and utilization of our own hardware and software. We are attempting to locate funding to assist in finalization of programming on this module and development of our other modules. From our own research, we beleive these products hold appeal not only in the U.S. market but also internationally. Initial contacts at several very large law enforcement agencies in the U.S. has found a decisive gap that our products can fill. The two primary members of the LLC bring over 15 years of street law enforcement experience, 20+ years of justice related software design and development, and 30+ years of overall software design and development.
