Description:
I am attempting to find some funding for a documentary I will be making about the migrant workers of Plant City, Florida.
I work in Plant City for a government employment program and was immediately interested in the stories of the migrants (usually from Mexico and Central America.)
I intend to bring their stories to the screen. I hope to bring a dramatic store detailing the hopes, dreams, and ailures of the migrants of Plant City (home of the famous Strawberry Festival.)
I will also include the views and opinions of the local Plant City residents (and will definitely include those who have a very antagonistic attitude towards their Mexican neighbors.)-This is a very southern town.
This is my dream and I need some funding-approximately $15,000.
