My wife and I are both veterinarians (MSU 1998) and are looking to open a Veterinary Clinic inside of a high-end, family-run pet store which has been in business for almost one year. They are growing and getting busier every month. They have grooming and training, install radio fences in addition to have pet supplies and food. Having a veterinary clinic in the store give constant exposure and referrals.
I am following the Banfield Model in which they have ~500 clinics in PetSmart stores across the US and are very successful; however with a more family oriented atmosphere.
I have a business advisor and attorney lines up and we also have a rough draft of the leasehold improvements needed, an equipment list and some working capital.
