This would be a multi faceted business with several forms of income in one of the most affluent towns in the tri-state area. I have a Masters Degree in Elementary Education. With state budget cuts in education rampant one area that is getting cut is the arts. I am looking to open a business that would have an art gallery in the front of the store and in the back would be a classroom that would provide opportunities for children to learn about art. Research has proven that children that participate in arts do better in school. The forms of income would be sales of aspiring artists work. I have several artists already lined up and would not need to purchase any of the art from them, just sell it for them and take 40% of the sales. I would provide summer programs for children focusing on art classes. I would provide extra curricular activities involving arts for children during the school year. I would sell art supplies. I would provide a venue for parents to have art birthday parties. I would offer art classes for adults. I would provide tutoring sessions for children needing additional help in school. I would provide reading power hours for children not yet in school.
