Our startup company, ugandasoft is located in 3 locations: Minsk, Belgium (VUB) and Uganda . We're looking for all available options to raise $150k in small business funding in order to fuel the growth of our Software business. We do lots of software work in web engineering using some great technologies: GWT, Django, Google appengine, Drupal, PHP, and lots more. Mobile applications include work on Android, iPhone and J2ME platforms; we hope to move into doing work in the PythonS60 (Nokia apps)
We also do research into computer vision and the design of algorithms to better improve the use of phones (with inbuilt cameras); an example is an algorithm to extract text from images and involve a translation service that could provably translate cryptic text (such as of languages like Japanese to english... when say, standing in front of a Japanese sign post or advert), there's a lot of potential with TIE algorithms :)
At this point, ugandasoft currently has annual gross sales in the region of less than $10k. I have included some additional information below relating to the purpose of the funds and the type of funding that I think would be the best fit.
ugandasoft is primarily interested in receiving capital from:
-Equity Funding (Venture Capital, Angel, Private Equity, etc.)
We would like to use the funds that are raised for the purposes below:
-Business Acquisition / Franchise Funding
-Operating/Growth Capital (Payroll, Sales & Marketing, etc)
- Boosting product development
