Compensation Striking a tentative compensation agreement that can be renegotiated after three or four months is recommended, and the rate of pay is generally based on commissions of 20 percent of the net or 10 percent of the gross or more of performance and commercial incomes, as stated in contracts. This amount obviously depends on the level of development the band or artist is at and the experience, networks and resources of the manager (The less developed the artist and more experienced the manager, the higher the commission). The artist or band should never agree to circumstances that can not be terminated or negotiated within a short period of time. Via Models & Entertainment : Are there contracts? Yes. All talent, models, or individuals who do strictly promotional work are considered sub-contractors. Under these terms, there are agreements made between Via and the individual/talent/model. This requires an interview and full disclosure. ALL talent/model/sub-contractors are considered self-employed and will be responsible for all said taxes and liabilities as such. In addition, talent/model/sub-contractors will not be eligible for unemployment insurance benefits or other benefits garnered by W-2 employees. Via Models Company Casting process It sometimes involves a series of auditions before a casting panel, composed of individuals such as the producer, director and/or choreographer. In the early stages of the process, candidate performers often may present prepared audition pieces such as monologues or songs. Later stages may involve groups of candidates attempting material from the work under consideration in various combinations; the casting panel considers both the talent of the individual actors and the chemistry of their combination. Creative department The people who create the actual ads form the core of an advertising agency. Modern advertising agencies usually form their copywriters and art directors into creative teams. Creative teams may be permanent partnerships or formed on a project-by-project basis. The art director and copywriter report to a creative director, usually a creative employee with several years of experience. Although copywriters have the word "write" in their job title, and art directors have the word "art", one does not necessarily write the words and the other draw the pictures; they both generate creative ideas to represent the proposition (the advertisement or campaign's key message).
