We are a small exhaust and auto repair shop. We purchased this business in June 2011 on contract. My husband was employed by the previous owner for 12 years prior to us purchasing the (URL removed) previous owner began this shop in 1990 and was tired of trying to maintain a business and a seperate jobs and his children. He offered to sell it to us or else he was going to sell it auction. We purchased the shop, equipment and inventory to be paid in full over the course of the next ten years. We looked over all their numbers and felt that this would be a great investment. However, we neglected to figure in that the previous owners had no monthly payments on the busiess. So all their profits went to their personal accounts. Unfortunately, being self employed we also do not have any health insurance and have both been hospitalized in the past year. In addition to our business expenses the personal expenses have been overwhelming. We are looking for assistance to cover our business expenses, mainly the shop contract, in order to be able to start showing a profit and cover our basic necessities.
