Description:
Team First Inc. is a New York City based non-profit 501(c) (3) corporation that links the passion
for the game of basketball among at-risk children and the New York City corporate professional
community together onto an online mentorship platform that tracks the academic and athletic
performance of academically underperforming children. By allowing mentors, parents and Team First
staff to engage each other on the platform and exchange relevant information, Team First offers a
creative strategy to close the inner city academic achievement gap among children with a heavy interest
in basketball..
