Description:
"Whoever succeeds at creating a universal social network for gamers will have it made". - VentureBeat, August 5th, 2008.
mmochi's mission is to bring gamers together, to be the place where discovering and connecting online gamers happen.
The social web and online gaming are two of the biggest current tech stories. mmochi capitalizes on these growing trends in a way that is unique from what's available now. In a growing market of 30 plus million users, mmochi intends to capture at least 3 million users, 10% of the total available market. We want to be the destination for hardcore and casual gamers alike to discover each other and connect to build real-life and in-game relationships. We want to be seen as the cool site for "Joe and Jane Gamer" who want to participate in an active community of like-minded individuals.
As more users sign on to games that revolve around digital representations of themselves, the need to know who you're playing with will increase. Because the games are designed to be collaborative, player-to-player interaction is very high. But who is the person controlling the avatars you're playing with? mmochi does not ignore this inherent curiosity, giving players a venue to link their in-game character to the personality behind the avatar.
