Description: Hi, My name is Treasure Keith. My husband and I founded a non profit organization for women in March 2011. We are thrilled about the opportunity to work together again, as we did many years ago. This time, we are launching something that can be ours, and in the process help many people to reach their goals. After investing hundreds of hours into the initial start up of the non profit, we realized that we would have to do something to raise capital for our organization until we receive our tax exempt status as a non profit, eligible for sponsorship. We decided that we would start a small business to fund our non profit organization. My husband Tim, began doing research on running a business inside of a non profit organization. Our non profit organization is called The First Lady Achievement Program, or referred to as F.L.A.P. F.L.A.P. is an organization that raises funds for non profit organizations and other entities who service women related problems. Examples are: domestic violence shelters, alcohol abuse programs for women and etc. As an organization, F.L.A.P. will raise capital for these organizations to remain operational. The organization is founded on the key principles of women helping other women through mentoring and community service. The fundraising efforts of the organization represent the community service aspect of the program's participants. The program is a 4 step program where participants are given checklist items (goals) that must be met before being promoted to the next step. As the women go through The First Lady Achievement Program, one of their requirements is to reach back and help another women on a lower level of the program be promoted to the next step. The ultimate goal of F.L.A.P. is to produce conscientious women who take great pride in their appearance, their communities and their homes. "We will become first ladies of our temple, of our homes and in society by living the six key components of the prototype woman. We will be in good physical condition, practice good nutrition, embrace feminine etiquette, have a solid academic foundation, seek spiritual growth, and receive training of how to run a business." (excerpt from F.L.A.P.'s manual). Once the six components have been implemented throughout the program and these women graduate, they will be considered First Ladies. At this point, The First Lady has completed a program where she has mentored, learned valuable skills and became more marketable in society. We will use her training in our program to work inside of our small business. The small business has not opened yet. It will be called First Lady Entertainment or FLENT, an event coordinating, promoting, and planning business. All events planned through FLENT will exhibit the core values and overall vision of F.L.A.P. All events will celebrate, enhance, or empower the woman culture. I wrote an inspirational and empowering collection of poetry entitled "Rock Climbing With My Bare Feet", published through Author House Publishing company and nationally distributed by ebook through sites such as (URL removed) or (URL removed). This book will be used in fund raising efforts for F.L.A.P. and serve as an official product of The First Lady Empire. The First Lady Empire is the vision of F.L.A.P. and the mission of FLENT combined as one entity. My husband and I believe that F.L.A.P. can become a culture, FLENT will answer the dreams of others, and The First Lady Empire will ultimately have longevity as a movement. Since we are still at the beginning stages, you have an opportunity to impact this fantastic vision! Please join us! Thanks, Treasure H. Keith
