Description: Imagine a world using natural, renewable marine compounds that will enhance health/wellness objectives and support the anti-aging goals of all ages and genders on earth at a low, affordable cost. KNOCEAN Sciences, Inc. (“KSI”) has discovered high AntiOxidant nutrient compounds in marine brown macro algae seaweed for commercial exploitation in the anti-aging, health and wellness markets. This algae known as Kelp (Macrocystis pyrifera) has been consumed for centuries by Asians as food and for their alternative medicinal potential. KSI however is the first to discover new compounds from this seaweed with the further discovery of massive AntiOxidant capacity in these compounds. The picture below shows the Kelp, the world’s fastest growing brown macro algae and the largest. The newly discovered “Kelp Oil” from this plant is the picture next to it. KELP KELP OIL With one patent award, and others pending, KSI’s early stage business model is to create a new generation of high AntiOxidant ingredients from this renewable seaweed, Macrocystis pyrifera. In one market, cosmeceuticals, KNOCEAN will go direct in its sales model and now plans to start sales in the 1Q 2013. It seeks a Preferred Stock round of funding of $9,500,000 from Angels to complete global launch of its products. A highly skilled management team will combine marine science and healthcare with new, modern anti-aging products in cosmeceuticals, KNOCEAN’s initial product slate. The Company has just completed its successful commercial samples of cosmeceuticals (serum, cleanser, morning and night creams) and they are in testing now. Other applications will be in boosting the AntiOxidant content of the ingredients in Functional Foods and Dietary Supplement industry segments. KNOCEAN seeks to be the world leader in seaweed, macro algae applications in creating large AntiOxidant content compounds for these market sectors. The globe is focused on micro algae to biofuels, but KSI is focused on macro algae in human health. The core leadership of KNOCEAN is CEO and Chairman Emmanuel Copp, Ph.D. with over 30years’ experience in corporate financing in energy related activity and in venture investing in cyber security software, blu-ray storage technologies, and medical technologies. Copp founded KNOCEAN Sciences in 2009 and attracted a world class of experts in macro algae science, operational harvesting and processing, and in marketing in Functional Foods and Cosmeceuticals. These include Mr. Dale Glantz, COO, and former senior algae harvesting expertat San Diego based Kelco, and Mr. Charles Jarvie, Senior Director, Marketing and Business Development, and former EVP of Proctor & Gamble and President of Dr. Pepper. In its initial funding, KNOCEAN raised over $1.3 Million primarily from accredited investors and management and to date has not sourced institutional funding. The Company’s two initial products will be another new discovery, Kelp Concentrate which is made from Kelp Oil. Separately will be the High Purity Fucoidan made from processing wet kelp leaves. These high AntiOxidant seaweed products will be the first in the world to have GRAS (Generally Recognized as Safe) designation for food applications. KNOCEAN discovered Kelp Concentrate from its initial algae sourced exudate, Kelp Oil, a new commodity to commercial markets. Kelp Oil is sourced from the brown macro algae, Macrocystis pyrifera, and is sourced from KNOCEAN’s kelp lease position and their dense kelp forests growing offshore California and Baja CA, MX. KNOCEAN was recently awarded by the California Fish and Game Commission by unanimous vote, the world’s most concentrated, high quality kelp lease off San Diego, CA. The Brand for our ingredient products is AOK, “AntiOxidants to the power of Kelp.”
