Termite and Pest Control. I am majority partner (51%). Both my partner and I are licensed field representatives. I have been self-employed for 20 years (building contractor). It is an inexpensive start-up. We need a single equipped truck ($5,000). My partner is an experienced technician. We both have sales and marketing experience in the industry locally. We need $15,000 to pay ourselves for three months while continuing to build our client base. The additional $5,000 is for operating capital. This is a minimum amount we need to get started. We have five Yellow Pages ads coming out in March. Neither of us can work the business full time right now as we have to work other jobs to pay the bills. However the phone is already ringing and we both network all we can with the spare time we have. This is a very lucrative business in a wealthy market that also happens to be the termite and pest capital of the world. There are four main players in our market, each generating an average of $10,000,000 in annual revenue. We intend to be on par with them within two years. It's all about marketing and branding.
