Description:
BYOND, or "Build Your Own Net Dream", is a software platform for the development and rapid deployment of online, graphical games. Users can create a game and "publish" it through the BYOND website ((URL removed)). The game is then accessible to fellow players through the software and site. The software to accomplish these tasks is fairly mature, although we are constantly improving on it to appease the feature requests from the growing audience.
In recent years, the community aspect of BYOND has become apparant. Users may use the site to create their own spaces and game discussion groups, leading to some "stickyness" within the community (sort of a niche myspace).
