Under NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) was formed the IOOS (Integrated Ocean Observing System). Promoted and administered by (URL removed) are eleven coastal regions under the NFRA (National Federation of Regional Associations).
I developed a testing and sampling plan for the Florida Gulf Coast independent of the national organizations because I saw a need. Colleagues informed me that the place for my data was IOOS rather than other science institutes.
I’m looking for funding for a modest wind/sail powered sea lab to conduct tests on the Florida Gulf Coast from Naples to Pensacola.
I had received a glowing endorsement of backing for a NSF (National Science Foundation) grant from SECOORA (South East Coastal Ocean Observation Regional Assoc.) and the grant proposal was in process when political interests interrupted.
