I have been in the insurance industry for over 20 years. I'm currently a consultant on behalf of Allstate Insurance for their independent agency field force. Prior to this I was an agency owner for 14 years. We would be purchasing additional agencies throughout the United States. How will this benefit us? This would allow us to negotiate larger commissions. On average most independent agents recieve 15% commissions. With a larger volume we would be able to negotiate contracts up to 20%.
