Description:
I am an independent consultant specializing in banking strategy, operations evaluations, RFI/RFP development, contract negotiations and project management. I have over 30 years of experience in this type of activity.
I have recently returned to the USA (High Point, NC) after over 25 years of working in the international sector, mostly banking. I have worked in over 30 countries, virtually all projects being involved in banking operations and software evaluations.
I have been working with the concept for the development of a software package for quite some time. In short, the software is a decision support system architecture that completely automates the entire consulting process starting with an operational evaluation, determination of need, conducting RFI/RFP development (including qualification and scoring), implementation (phased payment authorization) and a re-evaluation of the operation (to determine the effectiveness of the acquisition).
Most DSS products are a "one trick pony" in the sense that while they may do something very well, they only do one thing. They are totally useless when an attempt is made to use them outside of their specific intended purpose.
In my concept, not only is there a complete, proven 8 step methodology included in the package; that methodology is totally automated by using the software product. And even better, the software may be used to effect comparisons between any number of alternatives that have nothing to do with the methodology. The more complex the comparisons, the greater efficiency imparted to the user.
The typical user would be all municipal, state and federal acquisition agencies, all large organizations that perform large-scale or complex purchases, or any situation where the evaluation of "N" number of alternatives are possible but only one best solution must be selected.
I have already completed the documentation (both in English and Spanish), I have already developed the screen layouts and I believe that I am now ready to start the process that will bring that product to market. To do that, I need funding to acquire space, development hardware and software, hire programmers, build a website and perform marketing activities to put the product into the market.
I anticipate no more than a year to have the product ready to be boxed and shipped. Another year to bring to market. To do that, I will need approximately $25,000 up front to mobilize and approximately $20,000 per month for the first 2 years. That is a total of $505,000.
The need is significant, the market is enormous just here in the USA. The design concept is world class to enable the product to be used worldwide with no additional programming requirements - just change the screen literals and translate the user documentation as appropriate for the country of sale. English, Spanish, French and Portuguese gets us the ENTIRE Western Hemisphere!
