I have invented a means that will easily and swiftly reduce the number of impaired driver accidents. In the U.S. alone, more than 16,000 people lose their lives in such accidents, along with far more serious injuries. These terrible occurances are rarely purposeful; people have just unintentionally lost mental control of themselves. Nonetheless, the horrendous damage is done.
My invention functions directly through the delays in response to visual stimuli as a function of impairment levels, alcohol or otherwise. The device itself is nothing more than a conventional electronic car key that has the added electronic impairment detection feature that, assumming sobriety, can be activated in a few seconds.
The patent disclosure, patent search and patent application have been completed, along with a draft business plan.
