Sam's Book Barn is a used bookstore that accepts books in exchange for in-store credit which is applied to 25% of the books price. All the books in the store sell for half of the original publisher's price. I have in stock over 22,000 books, fiction and non-fiction, paperback and hardback. I opened on June 7, 2008 and already have 348 customer accounts today. My sister and I started this business on a shoe-string budget. I would like financing to do advertising and promotions to increase my cliental. The business is paying for itself at this time but is not able to pay me a salary. It is hopefully going to be my sole source of income inventually. I am a single mother and a former teacher. I have a BA in Historical Studies and English. I have some former business experience as does my sister. She currently owns a property tax appraisal business in Texas.
