We will market our products and services to all shooting sports enthusiasts and those that have a desire to learn about the shooting sports in a clean and safe environment. • The retail segment of the shooting sports industry has grown by leaps and bounds. In a recent WSMV television report (December 11, 2008), gun sales in Tennessee have increase by 300%. During competitive research analysis, this has currently increased to 600%. While this large increase in sales may be short term, national projections are expected to maintain an annual increase of 30%. • Although retail sales have increased, facilities for the public to safely fire these firearms has had zero growth in middle Tennessee. By combining an indoor shooting and training facility with a retail sales establishment, we will fulfill a need in the community, ensuring D & T Arms, LLC. increased growth, even if economic conditions change. D & T Arms, LLC. will be a complete shooting sports center. • The company will include a retail section that will include Type 1 firearms sales, shooting and hunting accessories, and ammunition. • It will also include an Indoor Shooting Facility which will consist of 10 shooting lanes of 25 yards each, that will have the capability to handle handguns and rifles up to and including 7.62mm (.308 caliber). The closest competitor offering this capability is 150 miles. • NRA certified Firearms Safety and Training courses, including required courses for State of Tennessee Handgun Carry Permits, Basic Handgun, Basic Rifle, and a Ladies-Only handgun training course. • We will also be offering First Shots® Seminars sponsored by the National Shooting Sports Foundation. The opening of D & T Arms, LLC. brings a capability and capacity for indoor shooting not present in the market place today. The skill, education, and experience of the primary member of D & T Arms, LLC. will ensure the quality and services offered will create a positive repeat customer base. The retail and business management experience of the secondary member will ensure a competitive edge over all other competition in the area. As illustrated in the business plan, the development and construction requirements for the indoor shooting range, classroom, and retail store, along with initial inventory, start-up cost, building acquisition and improvement $1,500,000. We are searching for 350-500K from an investor or Angel. A high traffic location has been found, along with professional building plans we are waiting for funding to acquire. All initial expenses for certifications, research expenses, and business licensures totaling $10,850 have been paid by the primary and secondary owners. The owners have an additional 35 thousand dollars of personal monies for investment into the business. The requested financing is broken down in the start-up cost found on page 17. The secondary member of the LLC will not be taking a salary or draw for the first 2 years or until profit warrants. The primary member will not take a draw for the first 6 months. Cash flow and profit and loss show continued positive cash flow in the initial month of operation. Profit after primary member draw by end of first year will be $100,000.
