Description: I currently have a patent pending ductwork design that will revolutionize the HVAC industry. This 40 billion dollar a year industry has many opportunities available to make it better. I chose to tackle the sheet metal ductwork market. it has been overlooked for years because people did'nt have any other choice. Many states are adopting the International Building Code along with the Energy Conservation Code. The code states that all ductwork installed in residential and commercial applications has to be sealed. There are a few ways that this can be done. Any of the many ways are time consuming, tedious tasks that no-one wants to do. My invention does away with that time consuming(money robbing), tedious task and takes it to about a 30 second process to get the ductwork sealed. Ductwork today also requires the use of s-cleat and drive cleats in order to put the ductwork together. If you run short of wither one of those on the jobsite you might as well pack up and go home. You cannot move forward without having all of these pieces. My invention does away with the multiple pieces needed to install ductwork. You slide the two pieces together and you are done. Margins on this product will be of great interest. Since the modern day ductwork design requires the use of s-cleat and drive cleat most if not all ductwork manufacturers throw in or supply the s-cleat and drive cleat with the purchase of the ductwork iteself. That is where they sometimes fall short and leave an installer stranded. My design is not really using all thst much more material. I am talking under 3% material add for my product. Granter, each peice will be a little shorter that others but when hanging ductwork it really doesnt matter. The time savings offered by my product will also help create larger profits from the sale of my product. Contractors are willing to pay more for a better product if it is in deed better and will save them time. Time is money and the more job each contractor finishes the more money in their pocket. I am currently in the process of finishing up my business plan. I would really like to speak with an investor and get some questions answered. With these answers I can make a final decision if I want to make the product myself or try and have another manufacturer make it for me. I would rather make it myself as my investor and I will see greater ROI and profits. I do want to start the business up in Fulton IL, but if the tax incentives are not there then other locations can and will be pursued. Please contact me via email at (URL removed). I do have some product info and a video that I am willing to send out.
